Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are a increasingly popular cosmetic treatment which are injectable gels that are used too restore lost volume, reduce smooth fine lines and wrinkles, soften creases, Even out uneven nasal features, plump and enhance lip features and enhance facial contours of other sorts.
Dermal fillers use a non-animal based Hyaluronic Acid of the highest purity and is a completely natural substance optimised to synchronise with human skin tissue to give a natural-looking end result, making the perfect formula!
How do they work?
Lip fillers don't just bulk the lips out...our fillers actually hydrate and revitalize the lip area too! This is due to the fact that hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, making it an excellent hydrator at the same time. The lip fillers are easily accepted once injected and naturally broken down over several months due to the fact that hyaluronic acid is also produced by your body.
What happens during the treatment?
After the initial consultation to ensure this treatment is right for you has concluded, a anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area for approx 30-60 mins. Then a needle is used to inject the prepped filler just under the skins surface until the desired look is achieved.Upon finishing you will be guided through aftercare.
Does getting lip filler hurt?
This varies from person to person. Pain is different for different people. It mainly consists of short, sharp scratch like sensations alongside pressure. After the treatment, they may feel swollen and tender-this will subside within the next few days
Are dermal fillers right for me?
If your looking for fuller lips, plumped lines, filled fine lines and wrinkles or to restore your youthful appearance then this could be just what your looking for.If your unsure why not get it touch to discuss your wants and concerns as we can guide you through the right decision for you.
Will fillers alter the way I move?
There's no need for your dermal filler treatments to look unnatural, and they shouldn't affect the way you move your face or your natural expressions if you use the correct practitioner and a good product.
What are the side affects, if any?
Bruising: It is likely that you may have some form of bruising or swelling after your treatment. To manage your bruising and/or swelling: 48hrs prior to your appointment avoid alcohol, exercise and retinol, 24hrs after your treatment do not drink alcohol, avoid sun beds and any other forms of heat. Using arnica will help with any bruising and DRINK PLENTY OF WATER! Fillers absolutely love water so stay hydrated!
How long will the results last for?
Everybody is different, but gradually hyaluronic acid will naturally degrade over time and as a result of this the effects will reduce. So most clients will find they need a top up treatment 6-12 months later.
Why doesn't my filler area look the same as others?
Dermal filler is not a one size fits all treatment.
When it comes to filler no ones results will be the same as each other, this being that there's many factors to consider, such as:
-
Natural lip size & shape
-
Desired outcome
-
Previous dermal filler
